The Buck Moon... this full moon is named for when those cute young bucks start getting their antlers. You could also call it the Thunder or Hay Moon.
Takes me back to my childhood time in MT... the deer are busy, the moon is bright with every star twinkling in the visible milky way, the explosive thunder claps & dancing lightning strikes, community parties at ranches to help them with their cattle. The wisdom there is unmatched - they know the moon cycles & weather patterns and forecasts better than most. And many enjoy their lives there. I didn't appreciate my time there, but as I've aged I miss it.
For me, this full moon provides a moment to sit in reverie. I feel so much gratitude for the experiences, now.
And like the young bucks antlers beginning to grow and transform him into a Stag... this is the time to meditate on how you what to grow... set your intentions now.
